Don Quattrocchi started the electrical installation business in 2009 with the aim to grow a new business on the foundation of great customer service for Adelaide homeowners and businesses.
In 2010, we hired our first apprentice electrician, Tibi; growing our team from one to two. This year also marked the beginning of our journey into solar contracting.
With DQ growing steadily, it was time to set up our first official office. In true Aussie style, we converted the backyard shed into our home base. It wasn’t fancy, but it got the job done and marked a big step forward.
Ben, a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed electrician, joined our team, bringing us to three. Don and Anita also welcomed two new additions to their family with the arrival of their twins.
It was time to step up from the home office to our first commercial space in Gepps Cross, working out of shipping containers! It was different, it was unusual, but it was our home. This year also saw us secure our first major contract with AGL, helping us reach new heights.
After outgrowing the shipping containers, it was time for a serious upgrade. We moved into our brand-new office in Gepps Cross. It was a real milestone that gave us the space and structure to keep growing.
It was time for a refresh, and we unveiled a brand-new logo, giving DQ a cleaner, more modern look to match how far we’d come.
2019 marked the year we became an official LG dealer, strengthening our offering with one of the most trusted names in solar.
The Quattrochi family grew from 4 to 5 with our arrival of our son, maybe the next generation of DQ Electrical leadershipr? This year we also became the exclusive Clipsal Solar install partner.
Ben, who has been with us almost from the very beginning, was promoted to General Manager, recognising his dedication and key role in our growth.
We moved into our new home at Salisbury Plains, marking a huge step forward for DQ. With a team of 17 on board, we finally had the space, facilities, and energy to match our momentum.
